Trump Administration Officials Pushed Plan to Ban Dominion Voting Machines From Half of U.S. States

Trump Administration Officials Pushed Plan to Ban Dominion Voting Machines From Half of U.S. States

Claimant

White House adviser Kurt Olsen; also involved: Paul McNamara (senior aide to DNI Tulsi Gabbard), Brian Sikma (special assistant, Domestic Policy Council)

Notes

Kurt Olsen's focus remains the debunked theory that Dominion machines were infected with Venezuelan-controlled code to steal the 2020 election. Repeated investigations and lawsuits since 2020 have produced no evidence. Reuters also found that administration officials in at least eight states sought confidential records, pressed for access to voting equipment, and re-examined voter-fraud cases already rejected by courts and bipartisan reviews. Story broke May 22, 2026.
